When the Texas heat starts to wind down this time of year, festivals and events start happening nearly every weekend – if you know where to look. We have quite a variety of events going on all across our great state, and here are “Three to See” for the end of the Month.


Trans-Pecos Festival of Music + Love

West Texas | September 29 – October 1, 2022

If you like indie music festivals, in the desert, Texas has one of those too! An eclectic lineup including Iron & Wine, Marty Stuart and Ozamatli are ready to rock the West Texas outdoors again at El Cosmico in Marfa, Texas.


Pumpkin Patch in Tyler

East Texas | September 24 – October 31, 2022

This is the first pumpkin patch in Texas opening for the season (that we know of), so if you’re in or around East Texas be sure to get some early photos in, and pick the best and biggest pumpkin for your family this fall.

State Fair of Texas

North Texas | September 30 – October 23, 2022

Blue skies, live music, corny dogs, rides and shows – the State Fair is peak “Texas Outside”! The eyes of Texas are upon Fair Park in Dallas for a few weeks every fall, drawing visitors from all over the state, and even our neighbors as the Red River Showdown game between Texas and OU is once again happening at the Cotton Bowl in the middle of the fairgrounds.
