The Paramount hit series “Yellowstone” has caught the winds of pop culture in its sails, and has become a household name. Starring Kevin Costner in perhaps the best role of his career, it is a modern day western drama.

Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders — land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.

Now Legacy Casting is casting roles for another Yellowstone prequel called “Bass Reeves”, which is an origin story to 1883, and will follow the story of the famous North Texas lawman. The series 1883, in turn, is an origin story to Yellowstone, which is set in modern day.

Bass Reeves – (an 1883 Origin Story) – is now casting for Union and Confederate soldiers. We are having fittings this week, next week and the following – to film the last week in January. If you are 16-50 years old and available in Fort Worth, Glen Rose and Weatherford, TX – email us or let us know your availability on MCF! This will be a FUN project! Legacy Casting

Legacy Casting was also responsible for a lot of roles in 1923, another Yellowstone origin story that was filmed in and around Fort Worth, Texas. A notable portion of that show was filmed in Granbury, Texas as well.
