Arizona Golf Resort Reviews

Cholla Golf Course at We-Ko-Pa

Scottsdale Golf Resort Stay & Play Reviews – Scottsdale, AZ – we spent a couple days enjoying the stay and play package at We-Ko-Pa Resort and hated to leave. The Resort is home to two spectacular Sonoran desert courses, each of which has it’s own unique characteristics and personality. Plus you’ll find seven restaurants, 5 bars, a casino, pool, good dining options, comfortable lodging, and very reasonable rates.

Westin La Paloma Golf Course

All of these resorts offer excellent service, great amenities, a variety of choices for lodging, and good food. Plus each is home to some fantastic and top rated Arizona golf courses.

California Golf Resorts

One of the holes at Pelican Hill Golf Resort

Pelican Hill Resort – Newport Coast, CA – Wow, this is a “bucket list” resort and golf course. The resort is upscale with first class amenities and service, great dining options, and a choice of well done Bungalows or huge well appointed Villas. If you like Tom Fazio designed courses, when you stay at Pelican Hill you can play two of his best designs. Each course has it’s own personality but common to each are excellent conditions, treacherous white sand bunkers, forced carries over canyons and natural areas, risk reward opportunities, forecaddies that are a necessity for your first round, an upscale clubhouse, and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from all 36 holes!

La Casa Del Zorro Resort

La Casa Del Zorro Desert Resort – Borrego Springs, CA – Located on 43 acres in the middle of the 600,000 Anza Borrego Desert and framed by the majestic 6000′ Santa Rosa Mountain, La Casa Del Zorro is perfect place to stay if you want to explore the quaint small town of Borrego Springs, play golf, enjoy several excellent hikes, or just relax at resort. Florida Golf Resort Reviews

Reunion Resort

Florida Golf Resort Review – On a month long trip to Florida, we had the pleasure of enjoying some of the best golf resorts in Florida from the Atlantic Ocean to the Orlando area to the Gulf of Mexico and then up to Tallahassee in the Florida Panhandle. What a diverse set of award winning courses that range from easy resort style layouts in near perfect condition to some of the toughest courses in Florida to a course the pros play on the PGA Tour. Most of these Florida golf courses are at a resort with unique lodging, great food, excellent amenities, and good stay and play packages.

Louisiana Golf Resort Reviews

Cypress Bend Golf Course

Cypress Bend Resort – Many, LA – just across the border and sitting on a bluff overlooking Toledo Bend Lake is the fantastic Cypress Bend Resort. You won’t find many courses like this one – very scenic with fantastic views of Toledo Bend Lake, huge elevation changes, great conditions, fair but very challenging, and a fun layout. In addition to an outstanding golf course, Cypress Bend Resort has a very good Stay & Play package, good food, a pool, spa, exercise room, sports bar, hiking and biking trails, and more. The Stay Play package is reasonably priced and can include a standard hotel type room overlooking the lake and golf course or one or two bedroom golf villas.

Mississippi Golf Resort Reviews

Old Waverly Golf Course

Mississippi Golf Resorts and Golf Stay & Play Lodging – During a fun golfing vacation to Mississippi we played six different golf courses and enjoyed stay and play lodging at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Pearl River Resort & Casino, and lodging at Mossy Oak and Old Waverly. In addition to superb top ranked and award winning golf courses, we enjoyed some out of this world dining and excellent resort amenities including casinos, spas, pools, and more.

Missouri Golf Resort Reviews

Deer Chase Golf Course

During a week long vacation to Lake of The Ozarks to play several courses on the Lake of the Ozarks Golf Trail (wow, what spectacular golf courses!) we stayed at three very unique and very different resorts. Our first stop was Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach. This Jimmy Buffett resort has good lodging, two golf courses, several restaurants, pools, bars, and a laid back “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere” vibe. Next up was the Alhonna Resort & Marina sitting on the edge of the beautiful and lively Lake of the Ozarks. We rented a boat and bar hopped, sat on our deck sipping a drink and enjoying a stunning sunset over the Lake, played two nearby golf courses, and hung out with locals at the bar and grill. Our last stay was in a superb three story, three bedroom 1600 square foot nicely appointed condo (that caters to golfers!) overlooking a peaceful cove on Lake of the Ozarks – read about our stay at Holiday Shores Resort.

New Mexico Golf Resort Reviews

Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino

New Mexico Resorts on the Santa Fe Golf Trail – Albuquerque & Santa Fe Area – The Santa Fe Golf Trail is comprised of 8 fantastic nationally ranked golf courses – two of which we rated as 10’s. Five of the eight courses are associated with some outstanding resorts and casinos – Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, Sandia Resort & Casino. Each of the resorts is as impressive as it’s golf course and they each have some great amenities – good food, pools, stables, tennis, spas, casinos, fitness centers, hiking trails, and stunning scenery. Here is a link to our reviews of the New Mexico resorts and casinos.

Texas Golf Resort Reviews

Oaks Course at the JW Marriott in San Antonio

Texas Golf Resort Review – Statewide – As you know, Texas is huge with very diverse terrain which makes golfing in Texas a unique experience. And the same is true with the golf resorts in Texas – they vary from huge (the largest JW Marriott in the United States with the toughest course in Texas) to small boutique type resorts (better know as dude ranches with golf courses) to hill country resorts with dramatic elevation changes to lowland courses on the coast that could easily flood if the tide was two feet above normal to desert resort courses or golf resorts on the shores of some of the best Texas Lakes.
