Thomas Michael Riley 2019 Music Festival Fans & More
The 12th Annual Thomas Michael Riley Music Festival was a huge success – lots of excellent music, great weather, a new stage, cold beer, and camping! As usual for the last several years, the Festival has been held in historic Luckenbach where “everybody is somebody!” If you’ve never been to Luckenbach, you need to find a way to get there and TMR’s festival is a great excuse to head to Luckenbach! There’s not much in Luckenbach, population 2, but what there is is really cool – an old Post Office which is now a merchandise store and bar, Small Creek Hat Company selling lots of different cowboy and other hats, the old stage, a new music stage, a beer station, the feedlot with good food, and the historic dance hall.
The music fans who attend TMR’s Music Festival are as unique, fun, and friendly as Luckenbach. It’s always fun to reacquaint with people we’ve met at previous TMR festivals and we always meet some new people who I’m sure we’ll reacquaint with at the next festival. The fans range for older retired folks, to middle aged music fans, and kids and dogs of all ages. You can consume a lot of beer but the festival is never rowdy. Everyone has a great time and they all love TMR and the songwriters and musicians who keep them entertained.
The Festival is very kid friendly and you’ll see lots of them enjoying music and having fun.
The festival is also dog friendly, but it’s hard to tell if they enjoy the music!
If you like to dance, this is the festival for you. The fans start dancing when the music starts around 1 and don’t stop until the last set ends
Thomas Michael Riley’s hit song “Ten Toes Up and Ten Toes Down” always gets the crowd going.
And, as always, there are the Luckenbach roosters hanging around.
During the festival the majority of the artists come out and mingle with crowd.
See you next year – wave and smile at me and you’ll be here next year! Return to the TMR Festival Article.
