Are you looking for the best Texas clay shooting locations in the state? Some say that there are very few sports in life as enjoyable and exciting as clay pigeon shooting! Clay pigeon shooting, also known as clay target shooting, and formally known as Inanimate Bird Shooting, is shooting a firearm at special flying targets, known as clay pigeons or clay targets.

The terminology commonly used in the past by clay shooters refers to when live-pigeon competitions were held. We have listed below some locations throughout Texas that have clay shooting stands. We have enjoyed and can highly recommend two of these locations – Lajitas Resort & Spa in Lajitas and Ox Ranch in Uvalde.
