River Walk

You can’t leave San Antonio without doing something on the River Walk, which is most likely San Antonio’s biggest and most well known attraction. The San Antonio River Walk is a network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath downtown San Antonio. The River Walk is lined by bars, shops, and restaurants and you can walk for miles, ride the Rio Taxi riverboat, or charter a boat for a dinner, cocktail or a tour. for a great way to experience the river walk. They have partnered with many restaurants for a great dining event. Or you may try the river tours for a tour with entertaining narratives of the rich history of the San Antonio River.

San Antonio Nightlife

San Antonio pretty much has it all in the way of nightlife. From eclectic wine bars and tequila bars to comedy clubs, amazing live music venues and hot dance clubs. From Downtown to the Strip to the epicenter of San Antonio nightlife on the Riverwalk—where there are numerous bars all within walking distance—the Alamo City’s bar and club scene is definitely an experience. Enjoy San Antonio River Mission Reach

River Mission Reach has restored an 8 mile stretch of the San Antonio River and turned it into a quality riparian woodland ecosystem that’s excellent for walking (lots of foot bridges, picnic tables, and benches), biking (15 miles of trails), paddle-boarding, or kayaking – the River has around a dozen fun chutes. Golf

Zoo

The San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium is ranked as one of the best zoos in the nation exhibiting over 3,500 animals of 600 species and encompasses over 35 landscaped acres.

I know, some of these are indoors and it’s hard for you outdoor enthusiasts to go indoors, but if it’s raining or cold or if you need a break from the sun, then try exploring the Witte Museum, the Alamo Special Effects Theater, Texas Air Museum-Stinson Chapter, Spanish Governor’s Palace, Botanical Gardens, or San Antonio Museum of Art.

Restaurants

There’s no arguing that the San Antonio dining scene is hot, hot, hot, boasting more Tex-Mex eateries and barbecue joints than anywhere else in the state.
