As part of a fun vacation to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico we signed up for a combo tour with Puerto Vallarta Tours that included a fun ATV ride up a narrow twisting dirt road through the jungle in the Sierra Madre Mountains. After about an hour we arrived at Rancho Las Vegas to start zipping on eleven different zip lines. We zipped through the trees, down some steep zip lines, and across a river and ended up at a small quaint Mexican restaurant for some good food, margaritas, and samples of Tequila. What a fun and thrilling zipline tour that starts with a chair lift ride to the summit of a mountain at 10,600′. This zipline tour includes 6 different zip lines that go from platform to platform and one that is a dual 1600′ zip from one peak to another 270′ above the forest floor. The scenery is stunning and at the top of the summit is a world renowned mountain bike park, an 18 hole disc golf course, and a restaurant with a deck and jaw dropping view.

Hotel Punta Islita is an award winning hotel that has been chiseled out of a tropical forest hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. One of the adventures we enjoyed during our stay was a zip line tour with six zip lines that crisscrossed a deep canyon and through a dense tropical forest.

On a golfing vacation to Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado, we took a break from golfing to zip down the mountain sides in Durango, Colorado. Full Blast Adventure Center has a two hour tour and a three hour tour that includes 6 different ziplines including what they claim is the longest and fastest zipline in Colorado.
