Shirley Creek Marina has 13 one bedroom duplex log cabins and one two bedroom cabin available as vacation rentals. The cabins sit on a small bluff with a view of the lake and campground through the trees. The cabins are a short two minute downhill walk to the marina and boat slips and a small protected cove on beautiful Sam Rayburn Lake. Each of the duplexes have one bedroom with two double beds, a bathroom with tub and shower, a living/kitchen area with a sleeper sofa, TV, sink, mini refrigerator, and two burner stove. The two bedroom cabin will sleep eight. And each cabin has a front deck with some chairs and a table – a perfect place to start the day with a cup of coffee or end a fun day with a drink and beautiful sunset over the lake! The cabins are rustic, could use some upgrades, but they are functional and comfy. New owners purchased Shirley Creek Marina in 2010 and they have a very ambitious business plan that should position Shirley Creek Marina as one of the top destination parks in Texas. Some of the improvements include: upgrading and redecorating the cabins, redoing the RV sites, adding a sandy beach area, a store and gas dock, hiking and biking trails, fishing pier, and more. A lot of the improvements will be done by March, 2010. |
