Golden Eagle is a beautiful, heavily wooded, rather remote golf course tucked in the Northern Minnesota lake country. It's a great change from the typical Texas track. You can't beat it if you catch it in Indian Summer with the changing colors of the hardwood leaves. The layout is unusual and fun. Your round starts with par 5s on 1,2 and 5. Par 37 front and 35 back nine.
Bruce McIntosh and his staff have done a super job of hosting our large group of Americans and Irish for our tourney on visits in '04 and '08. The experience is well worth the beautiful drive through the Minnesota Northwoods.
