Wow, Buckhorn Lake Resort is what every RV Park should aspire to be when they grow up. It's pristine and well managed by a friendly helpful staff and has great sites and a variety of site choices, and lots of amenities for you to enjoy during your stay.

All of the roads are paved and big rigs won't have any trouble maneuvering through the Resort and into their sites which are long and wide. The park is pet friendly.
Buckhorn is conveniently located just off Interstate 10 with easy access to Kerrville, San Antonio, Boerne, or Fredericksburg.
A great place to stay for a weekend, vacation, or few months to escape the cold weather.

We visited Buckhorn Lake Resort to attend one of their special events which was a two day music festival that was a blast - read our review of Thomas Michael Riley's Red Neck Rivera Music Festival to learn more about what will most likely be an annual event at Buckhorn Lake Resort. It started on Friday night with a dinner music show with some delicious pork and the fixings plus a great dessert following by a get set from Thomas Michael Riley. Saturday the music started at 2:00 with 4 different musicians - a great day of music. And during the festival, Buckhorn cooked a variety of good food from fried pickles to pork sliders to burgers. The prices were excellent, for example, $2 for cold beer and $6 for a huge juicy cheeseburger with fries! Read our review of this fun music festival.
We also enjoyed time at the pool and hot tube and a set of tennis. I only wish we had practiced putting on their putting green before we headed out to play golf at both Comanche Trace Golf Club and Riverhill Golf Course.
What a fun 3 days! Can't wait to do it again next year.
