Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas open in 1996 and was designed by Randy Heckenkemper along with PGA Tour Professionals Willie Wood and Scott Verplank. Century Golf manages the course and it is ranked among "The Top 25 Courses in Texas" by The Dallas Morning News and Golf Digest has listed SilverHorn in their "Places to Play".

When we played, Silverhorn's greens were struggling with the transition from summer to winter grass – as such the greens were a little bumpy and not in their normal condition which we understand is usually very good. Fairways on the back night are tight and there is a premium on accuracy, rather than distance. On a number of holes, you may want to leave the driver in the bag.
