Keeton Park is a City of Dallas owned course located in southeast Dallas. Keeton is a somewhat challenging layout with some beautiful pecan tree-lined fairways, plenty of water hazards which comes into play on 12 holes, and it's in pretty good conditions. The front nine is tree lined for the first 6 holes, some of which are a little tight, and the back nine is very open. Both sides are flat, include a number of dog legs, and a couple fun and challenging holes.
The greens and fairways are in good but not great condition. The front nine greens are medium sized with minor undulation and the back nine are huge with some pretty big slope which can cause problems putting. The greens seemed a little fast and were somewhat difficult to read.
Certain holes put a premium on accuracy and Keeton can be as enjoyable for beginners as it is for low handicap players. Keeton is a good course for the value. For seniors, they offer an outstanding rate all week.
