Review and Rating of Stella Mare RV Resort in Galveston Texas
Stella Mare RV Resort opened in November of 2016 and it's a great RV resort with 195 long wide paved sites sitting on over 25 acres. Stella Mare RV Resort also has two colorful 4 bedroom fully furnished rental homes that will sleep 12 to 15 people. The best amenity at Stella Mare is the beautiful swimming pool.
Stella Mare is between Stewart Road and San Luis Pass Road (at the end of Seawall Blvd.), about 8 miles from the historic Strand District, and an 8th of a mile from beach access. Access to Stewart Road from the back of the park and San Luis Pass Road from the front makes it easy to get to everything that Galveston has to offer.
Stella Mare is meticulously maintained and the staff is very friendly and outgoing. During the winter months you'll also find lots of friendly Winter Texans from the frozen north.

There is no typical day for us when we come to Galveston because there is so much to see and do. First priority is to enjoy some good seafood, find a beach bar for a cold beer or margarita, and take a bike ride along the seawall.
Some of the other things we love to do when we visit Galveston include:
- play a round of golf at Moody Gardens Golf Course
- spend a day at Moody Gardens, on the beach, or at Schlitterbahn with the grandkids
- stroll along the Strand
- take in a special event like Mardi Gras

You should be able to find something that gets you interested from airborne activities (helicopter rides, parasailing, or a biplane ride) to zip lines. Galveston is loaded with history and several history related activities - historic mansions, museums, Seawolf Park, the tall ship Elissa, and more. There are also lots of water related things to do including offshore or pier fishing, time on the beach, harbor tours, jet boat or kayak rides, and boat rentals just to name a few. And don't forget to take a stroll or bike ride along the seawall and of course stop at one of the local bars or restaurants overlooking the ocean. Read our Galveston Winter Vacation to find out about some of the above fun things that we did on this great vacation.
You'll find some great bars (Woody's is within walking distance), excellent restaurants covering all the cuisines, and some great happy hours.
Kids will love the beach, go karts, pedal bikes, miniature golf, and Pleasure Pier and it's attractions.
