Review and Rating of Post Oak Place RV Park In Denton Texas
Conveniently located about 2 miles from the lively Denton Square and at the upper tip of what's called the Golden Triangle (a triangle between Denton, Dallas, and Fort Worth – both of which are just 35 miles from Denton), Post Oak Place RV Park is a great place to stay if you want to explore north Texas, Denton, Ft Worth, or Dallas. It's close to the freeway, lots of shopping, plenty of options for dining, and some fun bars.
The Park is divided into three sections – one section that is a straight line of RV sites along both sides of a paved road. The road takes a sharp right turn and up a small hill on a gravel road to the second set of sites that are more shaded. The third section has a separate entrance that is accessed from highway 377. Most of the sites are taken by full timers.
The Park is a little dated but it's clean and the staff is friendly and outgoing and you can't beat it's location.

On our last visit we stayed at Post Oak Place RV Park because it is the closest park to downtown Denton where we were attending the film, art, and music festival called Thin Line Fest. What an outstanding festival - read our review of Thin Line Festival to learn more. And it took us about 3 minutes to get to the festival and the Denton Square from our campsite.
We also snuck in two rounds of golf on two excellent golf courses and again it just took us a few minutes to get to each one from our RV site. We played the private Denton Country Club and the 9 hole Timberlinks at Denton Golf Course - both courses are outstanding and you can click on the link to read our review.
And of course we enjoyed some good food and lots of cold beer at some restaurants around the Square and some excellent music at Dan's Silverleaf and Harvest House.
If you're coming to Denton to visit a kid in college, to explore the city, or for a short stop over on your travels to other places, then Post Oak Place RV Park is perfect. You can be on I-35 to Dallas or north in less than a minute, at the lively Denton square in two minutes, or on a golf course in less than 10 minutes. Denton is a college town and home to a very lively town square surrounded by several restaurants, bars, music venues, and shops - a great place to spend some time.
Within a few blocks of the square are two excellent music venues - Dan's Silverleaf and Harvest House and both have excellent music and a lively crowd. There are several other music venues nearby.
If you like golf you've got several courses within 25 minutes of Post Oak Place RV Park. See this golf map to find a course to play and you'll find our review of the course if we've played it.
If you like lakes for fishing, swimming, or boating, two of the best lakes in North Texas (Lake Lewisville and Ray Roberts) are less than 20 minutes away. Click on the Lake Lewisville link to find fishing guides, boat rentals, SUP and kayaks, and more.
