Profile
Mission RV Park has 188 full hook up sites, good amenities, and is clean and well maintained. The Park is just off the access road to I-10 and about 19 miles east of downtown El Paso.
The park claims that it is El Paso's "Best and Friendliest" and we can attest to a very friendly, outgoing, and helpful staff. It's the only park we have stayed in when we visited El Paso, so it was clearly the best we know of!
The roads are paved and the sites are wide and long (up to 75 feet) enough for big rigs with quad slides. After office hours, Mission RV Park has guard on patrol and the park is enclosed with a rock wall.

We stayed with Mission RV Park for three nights on our way from Dallas to California. Our goal was to escape the cold weather and add some information to Texas Outside on some fun things to see and do in El Paso. We did have one day of nice weather and then a front moved in and broke a 30 year old record low at 7 degrees and dumped an inch or two of snow. Bottom line, we didn't get out and explore much of El Paso.
Before the storm, we did get in a round of golf at Butterfield Trail Golf Course - wow, what a fantastic golf course that quickly made our Top 25 Texas Golf Courses list. Butterfield Trail has excellent conditions, unique and memorable holes, and lots of character as well as challenges to keep you on your game. Read our review of Butterfield Trail to learn more about this outstanding and must play course.
We also bundled up and made it to the El Paso Holocaust Museum which we found informative and interesting. We tried to go to some other attractions but the cold weather, icy roads, rolling brown outs, or frozen pipes kept them closed!
One of the reasons we choose to stay at Mission Trail RV Park is because it provides easy access to lots of fun things to see and do in El Paso.
Take a look at our Guide to El Paso to find where you can hike, bike, visit museums, play golf, and lots more.
As you may know, Juarez is just across the Rio Grande from El Paso and it was once El Paso's number one tourist attraction. Thanks to drug wars and more, the US Department of Tourism has issued a travel warning considering travel into Mexico. You should talk to the locals and check out the Department of Transportation website to get the latest status if you plan to visit Mexico.
