Midessa Oil Patch RV Park is located less than a quarter of a mile from I-20 and about half way between Midland and Odessa, making this RV park a convenient place to stay if you're passing through or want to explore the West Texas Permian Basin.
This Texas RV park and campground has a good mixture of full hook-up RV sites, tent sites, some camping cabins, and some amenities. The roads are paved and wide enough for big rigs to easily maneuver.
Midessa Oil Patch RV Park is quiet (outside of some faint freeway noise), family and pet friendly, and is clean and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and out to help make sure your stay is enjoyable.
We have enjoyed a stay at Midessa Oil Patch RV park a couple times - once when we were passing through on our way to Big Bend and another time on a trip to California. During our California trip we stayed a couple days so we could play golf and explore some of the Midland Odessa attractions.
We enjoyed a round of golf at Ranchland Hills Golf Club - an 18 hole golf course with good conditions, some fun holes, and an affordable price.
We also spent some time at the Petroleum Museum and enjoyed it. The Museum is very well done with some interesting information on the petroleum industry and some of it's history. You'll see some impressive displays, interactive exhibits, plus a section of the museum dedicated to art and another with an excellent display and history of Midland's Chaparral race cars.

Midland is home to a couple good golf courses, like Hogan Park and Ranchland Hills, and you can find them as well as our golf course reviews on our Midland Golf Course map.

About 30 minutes west of Odessa is Monahans Sandhills State Park which is a fun place to visit. It is 3840 acres of wind sculptured living sand dunes, some of which are up to 70 feet high. You can hike in the dunes, take a leap off the tops or roll down, or better yet rent a sand disc and slide down the dunes. Kids will love it.
