Profile
It’s about time that a luxury RV resort opened on the west side of Austin and in close proximity to Lake Travis – La Hacienda RV Resort and Cabins is a welcome addition to the Austin area. This fantastic Park offers lots of outstanding amenities, great sites, and is in a perfect location – 30 minutes to downtown Austin, just minutes to beautiful Lake Travis, and five minutes to some excellent restaurants, good shopping, fun nightlife, fantastic golf, and more.
A small 5 acre section of La Hacienda with 59 RV sites opened in 2004 and the largest phase of La Hacienda is now open and is very close to completion in March 2009. This 35 acre park has 216 sites and 31 cabins and all of the amenities that you would expect to find in a first class RV park. All of the main roads are paved and offer plenty of room to maneuver the biggest rigs. The sites are side-by-side but they seem a little more spacious than most. Trees are scattered throughout the park, and are more prevalent in section A – additional landscaping including adding more trees is in the master plan.
Everything at La Hacienda is new, well maintained and clean as a whistle. Park management is friendly and committed to ensuring that you have an enjoyable stay. This park has been designed to be enjoyable and fun for a weekend or the entire snowbird season. And unlike a lot of RV parks, La Hacienda is located away from the busy roads and freeways and offers the quiet serenity of the Austin Hill Country.
La Hacienda is pet friendly, offers daily, weekly, and monthly sites, and has a 10 year age restriction. Tent camping is not allowed.

We love Austin and the surrounding Hill Country and La Hacienda is the perfect place to stay to explore Austin, enjoy Lake Travis or Lake Austin, and take advantage of all the fun things to see and do nearby.
Just down the road from La Hacienda is Lake Travis, Emerald Point Marina, and Carlos & Charlies. We love Carlos & Charlies for the lively crowd, live music, open air seating with fabulous views of the lake (the sunsets are outstanding), and ok food. About 5 miles down the road at Mansfield Dam is a boat ramp where we launch the boat. We'll spend a day enjoying the water, cruising by the huge beautiful homes, people watching in the party cove, and boating over for lunch or dinner at any of the several restaurants on the water. Another choice is to launch the boat in Mary Quinlan Park, about 10 minutes from La Hacienda, and enjoy Lake Austin. Unfortunately, there are not places nearby where you can leave the boat in the water overnight, but La Hacienda does have a storage area for boat parking.
We love golf, so of course one day has to be spent on the links, and there are lots of excellent choices near La Hacienda. A couple of our favorites that are within 20 minutes include: River Place, Falcon Head, and Lakeway. Check out this Austin area golf map to find a course and read our review of the courses.
When we stay here we also have to go to The Oasis for drinks and appetizers as the sun sets and listen to the live music. We also love the Hill Country Pasta House for some superb Italian food - both of which are very close to La Hacienda. We could fill three pages of things to see and do that are fun and close to La Hacienda - you won't get bored when you stay at La Hacienda.

Check out this map of Lake Travis to find the above plus fishing guides, the Lake Travis party cove, ramps, and restaurants on the water. If you have a boat, you are also close to Lake Austin which is a great lake for cruising and skiing/boarding plus there are a couple good restaurants on the lake - to learn more check out our review of Lake Austin.
