Profile
When you enter Rustic Creek Ranch and observe the spacious green areas, the unique metal animal sculptures, and the landscaping you sense that you are in for a treat. Known as "the shining star of North Texas," Rustic Creek Ranch is well deserving of it's title – this is one outstanding RV park.
In 2010, Rustic Creek Ranch received the 2010 "Best Accomodations" award by the Texas Association of Campground Owners. In addition, Rustic Creek became part of Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park system.
Located on over 65 acres in the growing community of Burleson just 10 minutes from downtown Ft Worth, Rustic Creek Ranch is one of the best RV parks in Texas. In addition to over 240 RV sites, the Park has 37 very unique custom built luxury cabins that are perfect for a weekend or longer stay to explore and enjoy the local area.
Rustic Creek Ranch is very well maintained, restrooms and other facilities are spotless, and the service is second to none. The staff is dedicated, friendly, and out to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. When we stayed at the park, two out-of-state guests (one from California, the other from Pennsylvania) told us that they thought Rustic Creek was one of the best parks they had stayed in and that the staff was outstanding. After an hour meeting with park management and the owner, we left the meeting impressed with their commitment to excellence, service, and to ensuring a good guest experience. And they have some unbelievable future plans to make Rustic Creek Ranch (formally known as RV Ranch) a true destination resort and unique to north Texas – stay tuned!
The good news, bad news, is that Rustic Creek is located on the frontage road of I-35W which provides convenient and easy access to lots of fun things to see and do, but also results in some freeway noise. However, we stayed in a cabin close to the interstate and didn't hear any of the freeway noise. Rustic Creek Ranch is in a perfect location to explore Ft Worth, Arlington, Granbury, and Glen Rose and to take advantage of everything they have to offer – from the best amusement parks to fantastic zoos.

We had a very enjoyable one night stay in one of the Rustic Creek Cottages. The cottage we stayed in got multiple "Wows" when we opened the door. The bed was truly very "fluffy" and comfortable, the fireplace would have been great if it wasn't 100 degrees, the free popcorn and peanuts were appreciated as a late night snack, and the jacuzzi tub helped get rid of some of the kinks from golf. Some of what we enjoyed during our brief stay included:
- golf at nearby Cleburne Golf Links and Hidden Creek Golf Course (3 minutes up the road)
- live music and good home cooking at The Porch restaurant
- walking the streets and shops of Old Town Burleson
- had a tasty inexpensive breakfast at Rebecca's cafe
Rustic Creek Ranch is a perfect location to explore the area and within an easy hour drive you have tons of choices for fun things to see and do, some of which include:
- within 10 minutes you can be in downtown Ft Worth enjoying the museums and theaters; miles of running and biking trails; one of the best zoos around; Sundance Square and its excellent restaurants, music, and great nightlife; and the Stockyard and all of it's fun activities
- Old Town Burleson is a couple minutes away and it's home to some antique shops, the infamous Babes Restaurant, and the Heritage Museum
- if you like wine, vist Lone Oak Winery and sample some of their fantastic wine in a beautiful setting with live music on occasion
- take the kids to nearby Arlington for Hurricane Harbor Waterpark, Six Flags Amusement Park, or a game or event at the BallPark
- enjoy any of the nearby lakes for fishing, boating, or a picnic
- hit the links - you have lots of fun and excellent golf courses within 15 minutes
- explore nearby Granbury or Glen Rose - two of our favorite cities with lots of fun things to see and do
- or just chill at the pool, play cards, domino's, or other games and BBQ a great meal
Have fun and enjoy your stay!
