Yuma is a mecca for retirees and snowbirds and there are over 23,000 RV sites in the area. Cocopah RV & Golf Resort is one of the biggest and best in the area. It is a huge RV park with over 800 RV and park model sites, a large number of which are filled with full timers, monthlies, or snow birds. During the winter season, it will be hard to get a site if you don’t call very early in the year.
One of the reasons to stay here is that Cocopah RV Resort has an 18 hole par 72 championship golf course, excellent amenities, and during the winter a slew of activities to keep you busy.
The staff, as well the guests, are very friendly and outgoing and when you stay here you’ll feel like you’re part of a big extended family. Everyone seems to greet you with a smile and a hello and as you cruise through the park you can’t help but notice that around happy hour the Cantina is full and a lot of the sites are home to groups getting together for dinner, drinks, games, or socializing.
The roads at Cocopah RV Resort are paved and most of the streets are one way. All of the facilities are clean and well maintained.
Some of the Park property is along the banks of the Colorado River and adjacent to some rich farmland. The Park is located on the outskirts of Yuma (10 minutes or less to downtown) but the roads into the park are a rough and bumpy. The freeway is a few miles away, so there is no freeway noise to keep you up – in fact, the park is very quite and peaceful after 8 PM.
