Review and Rating of French Quarter RV Resort in New Orleans
If you're looking for a place to park the RV where you can walk to the center of Bourbon Street, then French Quarter RV Resort is your only choice – and it's a very good choice.
French Quarter RV Resort is obviously in the French Quarter, just under Interstate 10, and about 5 blocks from Bourbon Street. The Resort has 52 full hook-up RV sites, a gated front entrance, 24 hour on-site management and security, and several amenities.
The road through the Resort is a rectangle, paved, and wide enough for big rigs. The sites are all back-in and big rigs may need a couple tries to get into their site.
The Resort and all of the facilities were built just after significant damage was done to New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina. Everything in the Resort looks new and pristine and the Resort is very well maintained.
The staff is friendly and has extensive knowledge of, or easy access to information on anything that you need to know about New Orleans – tours, restaurants, bars, attractions, etc.
Pets are allowed.

We stayed at French Quarter RV Resort when we came to New Orleans for a wedding - and we loved it. Great sites, easy access to I-10, clean, secure, and a perfect location for the wedding and to explore the French Quarter.
We picked my brother and his wife up at the airport on Thursday, parked the RV, got some directions and ideas from the front office, and walked to Bourbon Street to enjoy the crowd and some good music. We set a goal of trying to hit as many bars with live music as we could - 4 songs at each place and then on to the next one. And from 7 to 1 we only covered half of Bourbon Street - if the band was really good we listened to a max of 8 songs, extra time was spend watching the unique and interesting crowd meandering down the street and we had to get some street Pizza. A fun evening! And an exciting 2 pedicab race back to the RV Resort - that was a blast and I think the pedicab drivers had as much fun as we did.
The next day we teed off at English Turn Golf Course and I saw two balls on most of my tees and missed the ball several times for the first few holes - must have been the Pat O'Brien Hurricanes. What an outstanding golf course - here is a link to our review of English Turn. That evening was the rehearsal dinner and more fun on Bourbon Street.
Saturday was biking around the city, a good lunch, and then off the an early wedding which was a blast. That was followed by most of the weeding party meeting at a bar on Bourbon Street. Another late night!
Sunday we enjoyed a good breakfast with family, said our good byes as they departed for the airport, and we headed to Lakewood Golf Course for a round of golf. Another outstanding course - read our review of Lakewood to learn more.
After 3 nights on Bourbon Street we were ready for a change. Several locals recommended that we try Frenchman Street which is were the locals hang out for good music and food. And we loved it - several interesting restaurant and some unique and cozy music venues with superb music.
Monday morning before leaving we rode bike around the French Quarter - what a great way to see the city.
