Review of The Waterfront Lodge, Marina, & RV Park on Lake Livingston

The Waterfront Lodge, Marina, & RV Park is located in the "heart of Lake Livingston" just off 190 on the north east side of Lake Livingston in a large cove off the main part of Lake Livingston. Waterfront Lodge claims to be the only motel or hotel located on Lake Livingston and in addition to the motel there are RV sites, a restaurant and bar on the water, and a marina with rental slips only.

The staff is friendly and outgoing, the lodge rooms were renovated in 2005, and the new restaurant, bar, and deck over the water were redone in 2013.

The Waterfront Lodge is home to several events (like the two day Crawfish & Cowboys Music Festival) and they host over a dozen professional Bass Fishing Tournaments a year.

The Waterfront Lodge is just off 190 and close to Onalaska for restaurants, groceries, and more. Huntsville is about 28 miles west and Livingston is about 13 miles to the east.

Typical Day:

Our first visit to The Waterfront Lodge, Marina, and RV Park was to attend a great two day outdoor festival - Crawfish & Cowboys. The festival was in an open field next to the lake and RV park and was a blast. Wayne Toups and Stoney Larue were the headliners and were outstanding - you can click on the link to read our review of Crawfish & Cowboys.

During this visit to Waterfront Lodge we also enjoyed a good meal at Jerry's Restaurant and 9 holes of golf at Livingston Golf Course.

On previous visits we have enjoyed boating on Lake Livingston, golf in Huntsville, and a round of golf on Cape Royale.

Near By:

Lake Livingston covers more than 90,000 acres and has more than 450 miles of shoreline. The shoreline curves into many tiny bays, creeks, and protected coves that are good for swimming, tubing, boarding, or cruising. Lake Livingston is home to some excellent fishing for Largemouth Bass, White Bass, Stripers, Catfish, and Crappie. If you want to catch some of the big fish for a fish fry, then hire one of these Lake Livingston Fishing Guides, some of which will pick you up at The Waterfront Lodge.
