Review of Marina Beach RV Resort in Port Aransas
Marina Beach RV Resort is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Port Aransas, Rockport, Corpus Christi, or other nearby areas. It is located in the heart of Port Aransas and you can easily walk or bike to good restaurants, fun bars, shops, the beach, and fishing. Because the Resort is in town, you'll hear the occasional town noises but in general, this is a quiet place to stay.
The staff is very helpful and friendly and is committed to making sure you have a memorable stay. The Resort's residents were all friendly and encouraged us to participate in their planned events like poker, campfires at the beach, and pot luck dinners.
Marina Beach RV Resort is very clean and well maintained. The roads are paved and wide enough for big rigs to maneuver. The terrain is flat and there is no shade cover. All of the sites are paved, wide, and level.

Port Aransas is one of our favorite cities - lots to see and do, friendly people, good restaurants, and fun and lively bars. And when we visit Port A we always try to stay at Marina Beach RV Resort because it is located near everything that we like to do. We park the RV and bike everywhere - to the beach, the restaurants, and the bars.
At the beach we'll spend the afternoon trying to body surf, playing football and bocce ball, flying kits, jumping off the dunes, and biking up and down the beach.
We also like to bike around Roberts Point Park, and along the ship channel and past Charlie's Pasture Fishing Pier and out to the boardwalk at Charlie's Pasture Nature Preserve.
After a bike ride, we'll bike to one of the great restaurants for lunch, appetizers, drinks, or dinner. A fun evening includes bike bar hopping to some of the fun bars with fun local crowds, music or karaoke, and lots of laughs. All of the biking is very easy because the terrain is flat.
We can't leave Port A with a round of golf at Palmilla Beach Golf Club - which is one of the best golf courses in Texas. Read our review of Palmilla Beach Golf Club to learn more.
We also enjoy exploring Rockport, Fulton, and Corpus Christi - it's fun biking around town, enjoying some of the attractions, and stuffing ourselves at some good restaurants. The nightlife is fun and lively.
Marina Beach RV Resort is convenient to lots of fun things to see and do. The beach is an easy walk or bike ride. If you like fishing you'll love Port Aransas - you can walk or bike to pier fishing, jetty fishing, or fishing in the surf. Within a couple blocks of Marina Beach RV Resort are a number of options for charter or private fishing, boat tours, parasailing, a pirate ship ride the kids will love, and more.
Marina Beach RV Resort is also close to several souvenir shops, great restaurants (Trout Street, Virginia's, etc.), and fun and lively bars (Shortys, Bernies, Back Porch, etc.). Some of our favorites include: Margaritas on the deck at Johnny Fins: the new Stingray's Bar & Grill has some good food, cold drinks, and free pool tables; don't miss the power belt sander races at the Gaff or Turkey Bowling at the Back Porch; Kody's has good fish tacos and lots more; and La Playa has some very good Mexican food. Kids will enjoy the park and looking for dolphins surfing the bow of some huge cargo ships. Here is a link to one of our fun trips in Port Aransas - Playing in Port A.
If you like golf, Palmilla Beach Golf Club about 10 minutes from Marina Beach and there are a couple courses in Corpus - check this golf map to find a course to play.
Rockport and Fulton are less than 30 minutes away and they have some attractions (aquarium, Maritime Museum, Fulton Mansion), good restaurants on the water, and shopping. Corpus Christi is only 30 minutes down the road and has lots to see and do - great biking along the waterfront, fun nightlife, lots of attractions.
