Profile
Travelers World
Travelers World is one of the closest, if not the closest RV Parks to downtown San Antonio – it takes about 10 minutes or less to be at the Riverwalk. The Park is clean, fairly well treed, and backs up to Riverside Municipal Golf Course. We have stayed here on a number of occasions and the staff has always been friendly and helpful and the Park has always been meticulously maintained. The roads are paved and easy for large rigs to maneuver and the sites are level and small pebble gravel. Discounts are available to AAA, FMC, AARP, Good Sam, and more. Discounted tickets are also available in the office from San Antonio Tours and they can pick you up at the Park office.
In 2016 Travelers World became part of Sun RV Resorts portfolio of RV parks in Texas and several other states. Sun RV Resorts has made several improvements some of which include: street signs and laundry room updates, upgrading of the fitness center and game room, new cabins,1010 and more.

We love staying at Travelers World whenever we want to visit San Antonio and have easy access to downtown. Usually some event or festival will bring us to the area. I look forward to starting the day by walking across the street and enjoying some migas for $5.95 - very good! We will typical spend some of our time at Travelers World riding the 8 mile paved and flat hike and bike trail that runs along the banks of the San Antonio River. We have also taken an easy bike ride to a couple of the nearby missions. There are plans to extend the trail to downtown which will be fantastic.
Of course you can't come to San Antonio without visiting downtown - the Riverwalk, Alamo, and all the other attractions. We take our bikes and ride around the city.
And we love to play golf in San Antonio - they have a lot of fantastic courses. You can find a course on and read reviews on our San Antonio Golf Map.
San Antonio has lots of fun things to see and do, ranging from the Alamo to the Zoo. To find things to see and do in San Antonio, check out our Outside Guide To San Antonio.
Some of our favorite things to do in San Antonio include:
- ride bikes downtown
- walk along the Riverwalk - enjoy a margarita and appetizer along the water, find a fun bar, or listen to a play or music at the Riverwalk Amphitheater
- play golf at La Cantera, Olympia Hills, or any of the other great courses
- listen to good music at John T Flores Country Store
- take the kids and grandkids to the Zoo, SeaWorld, or Six Flags Fiesta Texas
- sing along at Howling At The Moon's dueling piano bar on the Riverwalk
- search for a good Mexican food restaurant - we keep trying and haven't yet found one we really love
