Review and Rating of Inks Lake State Park Inks Lake State Park, Burnet Texas
Inks Lake State Park is a Texas Outside favorite and we have camped here a number of times. The Park is set among the rolling Texas hills and pink granite outcroppings.
A large majority of the sites are on or very close to Inks Lake, which is a small but pretty 803-acre lake – read our review of Inks Lake to learn more.
The park is clean and well maintained and the roads and sites are paved and large enough for some big rigs.
We start the day with some boarding and then head over to Devils Waterhole (far south west end of the lake) for some swimming and cliff diving/jumping. We also like to head into Burnet and play Delaware Springs which is an excellent course. There are some very good hiking trails in and around Devils Waterhole and over 5 miles of hiking trails over the granite, through the trees, and along the lake.
