Benbrook Par 3 Golf Course Review
If you're in Benbrook and looking for a place to practice your short game and putting then head over to Benbrook Par 3 Golf Course. It's a very short (929 yards) nine holes with yardages ranging from 62 yards to 177 yards. And it's lighted so you can play it after work and into the night.
Benbrook Par 3 is a "what you see is what you get" course where you can see the pin from the tee box. Two holes, the 90 yard #3 and the 65 yard #7, require you to carry a lake – but that's the only trouble you'll find unless you really spray the ball and knock it over the course's boundary fence. There are no bunkers and the fairways are flat.
The course does require some accuracy because the greens are relatively small. They are also raised which makes a bump and run tough and a short high shot will most likely stop short of the green. The bent grass greens were in fair shape, soft, and true but slow. Most of the greens are small ovals and some have a small tier or some minor contour.
The tee boxes are mostly dirt and the fairways are a mixture of clover, weeds, grass, and dirt.
It's an easy flat walk but pull and electric carts are available.
