Profile
Review and Rating of Bear Creek Valley Golf Club Central Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks.
Bear Creek Valley Golf Club was carved out of 250 acres of colorful, serene, and secluded Ozark forest along Little Bear Creek. As such, during your round, you'll experience scenic meadows, river valleys, peace and quiet, lots of trees, and some big elevation changes. In addition to that, some of the reasons we love this course and think it's a must-play if you are at Lake of the Ozarks include:
- with four tee boxes and yardages ranging from 4654 to 6775 yards, Bear Creek Valley is suitable for all skill levels
- the course is scenic, fun, and challenging but fair
- the conditions from tee to cup are excellent
- each hole is different and unique and a joy to play
- the course will throw a lot at you, ranging from dramatic uphill and downhill shots, blind shots, forced carries over water and well-guarded greens
- it's peaceful and quiet except for an occasional cuss word and the sound of the golf ball ricocheting off the trees and the occasional sound of a jet boat skimming fast across the lake
- the service is excellent and the marshalls focus on maintaining a good pace of play
- the rates are reasonable for such a quality course
- the Eggs Benedict for breakfast are superb
- #1 is a beautiful 389-yard par 4 that sets the stage for what to expect – an elevated tee shot, a carry over a pond to a downhill tree-lined fairway (spray it left or right and you're most likely lost) and another pond you need to carry to hit a small egg-shaped green
- #6 is a 353-yard par 4 with a downhill drive from an elevated tee box to a tight landing zone and then back uphill with a creek to carry at 140 yards out to get to a green guarded by 3 bunkers
- #14 is fun – a blind uphill shot from the tee box followed by a big downhill shot and a fairway that turns left in a tight valley leading to the green
- #15 is a 345-yard par 4 with a risk-reward shot over the rough and a bunker to try to shorten the hole (you best be a good rough player) or aim for the fairway on the right but a big bunker awaits a shot too far left and a tree can easily block your approach to the green if your drive isn't perfect
Don't miss the opportunity to play this fantastic course and make sure you try the delicious Eggs Benedict for breakfast!

Service is excellent and very outgoing. The pace of play is perfect and the marshalls make sure of that! The restaurant is superb with breakfast (the eggs benedict are outstanding!), lunch, and dinner and a deck overlooking the first hole. Practice facilities are good but the pro shop is small with limited equipment.
