Butler Park Pitch & Putt Golf Course, Austin Texas
Butler Park Pitch & Putt Golf Course is located just a block or so south of Lady Bird Lake and the course opened in 1949. The course plays up and down some hills and through some shady pecan trees and it features some elevated tee boxes, one hole with a small pond with a water fountain to carry, and some uphill shots to holes that range from 74 to 118 yards.
The fairways are side by side and trees line one side. Spray the ball off the tee box and you're either in the other fairway or in the trees. The fairways are tight, may 75 yards wide or so. When we played in 2016 they weren't in very good shape – bare spots, weeds, and a mixture of grasses.
The greens are small ovals – some are raised, some have some slope, and a few have a tier. The weren't in the best of condition and they are firm but run slow.
