Sherrill Park #2 was redone around 2000 and from my perspective they took some of the challenge and fun out of the course. For a city owned course Sherrill Park is usually in pretty good condition, a very good value, and well worth playing. The fairways are in above average condition, have some water running along the side, a couple criss-crossing creeks, and some are narrow and tree lined. The few bunkers are strategically placed — try to avoid them because the sand is not the softest. I have always liked this side more that #1 because it seems to be more challenging and has more variety. However, most people seem to prefer #1 and it always gets good ratings. You should have a good time playing either course.
